Searching with keywords

A keyword search on the home page generates a list of documents that contain references to a keyword.
Note: To change the language of the documentation, select a language in the search bar from the Language list. Documentation displays only if the content is available in the selected language.
To search Knowledge Exchange using a keyword, complete the following steps:

  1. In the search bar, enter a keyword. When you enter the keyword, possible documentation matches appear below the search bar.
  2. To view a suggested document, click the title of the document.
  3. If you do not see the document that you are looking for, click the Search icon to view the full search results. Alternatively, use quotes, *, or Boolean operators OR, NOT, or AND to enhance your search capabilities, see Table 1.
  4. Optional: If there are too many search results, use the filters on the search results page to perform an advanced search. See Performing an advanced search.
Note: Use the * wildcard for special characters or symbols that you cannot easily type in the search bar. For example the middle dot · or the degree symbol °.
